Doggies

We have two cute Doggies. Their names are Tazzie and Zoey. Tazzie is a Husky/Malamute mix who is a year and three months old. Zoey is a Husky and is only 3 months old. They are both so much fun and do crazy things daily. Today Zoey dismemebered one of their stuffed toys and found the squeaker inside. She thought that it was the best invention in the entire world. She ran and rolled around squeaking the squeaker the entire time.

Tazzie has a funny reaction to squeakers. Travis and I often squeak them just to get a reaction out of her. Whenever a toy squeaks Tazzie lifts her jowls up and does a kind of snarl. Tazzie loves squeaky toys, it's just what she does. So, today when Zoey was running around constantly squeaking, Tazzie was sitting there just snarling. She kind of got a little lazy after an hour or so and starting doing a partial snarl... it looked kind of like an Elvis impersination. It was hilarious!

I went through Tazzie and Zoey's toy box this afternoon and got rid of the toys that were mangled to the point of unrecognition. Here is a picture of the bunny we got them last year and the bunny we got them this year. Note the missing leg and ear, as well as the limbs that are only hanging on by a thread. Also, notice Tazzie in the background. I think she worried I was going to get rid of last years bunny! Don't worry Tazzie... your bunny is safe.

Tazzie and Zoey also got new Kong's this last week. They are totally and completely in love with them. Tazzie had one when she was a puppy that was a miniature one, but these new one's are so much better. Tazzie got the regular one that is red, and Zoey got a puppy one that is blue. As soon as I put them down they go crazy for them. I must say that Tazzie is a billion times better at getting the peanut butter out of them than Zoey, so as soon as Zoey gets bored of hers and wanders off Tazzie is all over it! My best friend from High School, Tasha, has a dog named Butch. He has one of the massive Kong's that is almost indestructible because he has "shark jaws". When I was hanging out with Tasha this last week she suggested putting peanut butter in the Kong's and freezing them. This was an amazing idea! Thanks Tash!

This is Tazzie with her Kong. I don't know how to rotate images... sorry!

This is Zoey with her puppy Kong. She is still trying to figure out how best to get the peanut butter out and thought that trying upside down might give her an advantage!

Well, I think that's all for tonight. We are watching Tron with some friends and Travis wants me to pay attention. So far from what I've seen it seems very "Star-Wars-Esque"... Great, eh? However, before I go, I just have to post one more picture of my cute Doggies! :)

This was taken after a Sunday walk. We went to my parents for Sunday dinner and they both crashed. I thought that it was so cute that they zonked out in the same exact pose.

First Post

I've been thinking of doing this for awhile, but just haven't had the ambition or time to sit down and do it. However, because of the crazy snow (notice that it's APRIL) today that finally gave me some drive! Hopefully I'll keep somewhat up on it, and not just have this be my only thing ever on here! That's all for now folks!
